Twin State Speedway to Host
Weekly 4cl. Enduro Racing in 2008

As the 2008 racing season
approaches Twin State
Speedway is making a change in
its entry level 4cl division. For
2008 TSS will host a 4cyl
Enduro division. Over the last 2
seasons we have watched the
Wildcat class experience an
identity crisis, at one point they
wanted to be a regular race
division than they wanted to be
an Enduro, as well as the TSS
management was having the
same problem. According to
TSS tech inspector Gary Baker
over the last couple of years the
guys have really done there
homework and started to build
some really nice little race cars,
As that was going on the car
counts seemed to be getting
smaller each season. With that
TSS felt we needed to get that
class back to the basics, so it
was announced at the Wildcat
rules meeting that this division
will be strictly a 4cyl Enduro
division in 2008. This was very
well received by the 20 or so
teams that were in attendance.
During the 2008 race season
the Wildcat/Enduro class will run
a 50 lap feature on a weekly
basis. There will be a weekly
entry fee to be determined over
the next couple of weeks with
100% of the entry fee going
back to the race teams. It is the
hope of TSS that a competitor
will be able to build a car for
under a $1000.00 and come
and race and just have some
fun. Rules for this entry level
division should be ready by Feb
1st. don’t forget Twin State
Speedway opens on Fri night
April 25th at 7pm. Featuring
ACT style Late Models, Pepsi
Modifieds, Super Streets,
Dominos Pizza Strictly Stocks,
Wildcats/Enduros and our Youth
Sportsman.

DOUG BANDY GRABS PRE-
HANGOVER 150 WIN AT
RIVERSIDE SPEEDWAY

The weather was absolutely
gorgeous for the running of the
second annual, Alan’s Home
Improvements, Pre-Hangover 150
lap enduro at Riverside Speedway
in Groveton, New Hampshire.
Close to one thousand diehard
race fans flocked to get their winter
fix at the Northern New Hampshire
speed plant, and forty-three
special racers from throughout
New England battle their way
through some very tough racing
conditions.

When the checkers waved, it was
an emotional victory for
Lyndonville, Vermont’s, Doug
Bandy. Bandy was the driver that
was airlifted from the track at the
Frostbite 400 last October. Bandy’
s race was quite eventful as he
almost threw it all away as he got
stuck in the deep snow off turn
three with about thirty laps to go.
He dug his way back onto the
track, and rolled to a two lap
victory in a badly sputtering
racecar. Racing home second was
Micheal Dearden out of Maine,
followed by New Hampshire
speedster, Ryan Avery. Rounding
out the top ten were David Wilds,
Lawrence MacDonald, Jordan
Davis, Jesse Switser, Michael
Smith, Ben Bedor and Paul Wood.

The next event on the Riverside
calendar will be Sunday, January
6, 2008, as rules meetings will be
held at the American Legion in
Groveton, New Hampshire
beginning at noon. For more

Speedway and to view some great
